Cognitive Test: This tests your speed and accuracy in solving real-life problems, but simulated in three sections: verbal, critical reasoning, and numerical reasoning. This is timed with a short four minutes. You are not to dwell too long on one question, or else you will be timed out and an automatic fail from the process.

Work Style Assessment: The work style assessment tests your behavior to work and your personality type if it fits into the shell's system. After passing the cognitive test, this is one important section that should not be joked with. The shell's work environment looks for candidates who have leadership skills, open to learning, have collaborative skills, and prioritize work while maintaining relationships with clients and colleagues.

The real-life scenario-based questions will ask questions in this format:

"Your colleague worked on a project and sent it to a client, and after sending it, you discovered that there was a major error in the document sent, how will you fix this". Options will be provided based on different personality types, on which you would go for. Your answer to this question and others will sum up to the shell employers your personality type and if they should proceed with your application or not.

Note: The work style assessment takes about 10 - 12 minutes to complete.

On-Demand Video Interview: This is not the major interview, but a simulation of it and it gives the recruiter the idea if they should meet with you or not. This interview covers the questions on introducing yourself and telling them about your qualifications.

This stage provides you with an opportunity to sell yourself the best way you can, therefore, put your best foot forward to ensure you excel above all other candidates. Each question takes thirty seconds to prepare and three minutes to record.

In the preparation, ensure you are confident enough, think through the question, and just imagine it this way, that it is your three minutes to be one of the highest earners from your graduating set in school.

The three assessments listed above are part of the stage 1 process of the Shell Graduate Program recruitment phase and upon successfully meeting the required score for those three assessments, you will be shortlisted for stage 2.

Stage 2 - Final Interview: This is a face-to-face meeting with Shell professionals who will be following through with the assessment processes. You will be given a case study upon being shortlisted and given 48 hours to go through and discuss your thoughts on the case study. On the day of the physical meeting, you will be given a topic close to the case study given and you will have 20 minutes to prepare for a panel presentation of 5 minutes where you will discuss your thoughts on the case study.
